Can you tell me how Pet-Pro Probiotic tablets are pressed to ensure the active organisms aren't destroyed or rendered inactive?

The dried bacteria pellets are blended with special compressable excipients particularly MCC 102 grade - the shape of the MCC particles gives excellent dry binding and avoids pellet rupture. MCC gives the tablet a good mechanical strength from a low compression loading. We do allow additional overage of probiotic units to cater for any drop off and would also recommend refrigeration or cool storage of probiotics to ensure longer shelf life.
