Lycopene is extracted from tomatoes and is red in colour. It is normally comes as an oil which is not suitable for two piece capsules. This means we have to use the lycopene beadlet which is a very dark red colour and, being a beadlet, it has a different particle size than the capsule filler. When the capsules go through the polisher the beadlets are spun to the outside of the capsule which can give a mixed colours/speckled effect. This is perfectly normal.
